Gumaca is a town in Quezon Province. It is the home of the colorful Arñat Baluarte Festival, a yearly celebration of the feast day of St. Isidore, the patron saint of farmers. The town is also known for its delicious tikoy, a sweet and creamy delicacy made of glutenous (sticky) rice wrapped in anahaw leaves.
The woman behind this famous mouth-watering sweet is Aling Nora of "NORA'S TIKOY SA ANAHAW". Aling Nora has been making lots of tikoys since 1967! That is 52 looooong years of tikoy-making! Wow!
No wonder why she has mastered cooking this sweet delight! The good news is, you do nit have to go to Gumaca to taste Aling Nora's Tikoy sa Anahaw. It is being sold at the Pasalubong Centers in Lucena Grand Terminal and other Pasalubong shops that sell Quezonian products. We could simply cannot put into words how yummy this tikoy is, ao you better buy one and see for yourseld what we are talking about.
